Get ready for the steam. Screw You. Screw Me.

There is this author named Serena Akeroyd. She is seriously a writing goddess. A wizard of words if you will. Everything she writes is seriously gold. She could write obituaries and I would read every single one. I have read several of her books and have never been disappointed so when she came out with a new series that isn’t reverse harem *gasp* I knew I needed to get it multiple guys or not. Let’s get into this amaaaaazingly dark and steamy contemporary romance. But let’s get something straight first… Finn is MINE ❤ *wipes away drool*

Find book 1, Screw You, here on Amazon!

These books are about a woman name Aoife (pronounced Ee-fah) who owns a bakery that a large company is trying to buy out. Being a fiery Irish woman she has refused all attempts out of principle and respect to her mom’s memory. That is until the sexiest man on earth walks in her door, Finn. ❤️ Finn is seriously the love of my life. I love me some bad boys and he fits this criteria perfectly. He swoops in determined to have Aoife. She’s gorgeous, thick, Irish, and everything he has every wanted in a woman. He can’t resist her charms and he knows that he has to get her to give up her place but he also knows he has to have her. He just doesn’t know if one will stop the other.

Finn and Aoife’s relationship is fucking electric. I mean their attraction to each other… I’m swooning just thinking about it. I love Irish guys. Seriously if I could get an Irish man to talk to me all day. Done. I’d be done. I try to get my husband to talk Irish to me. Sometimes he tries. Most of the time he tells me to stop being a weirdo. I need Serena to get this on audio and find the sexiest sounding Irish man in the world to narrate it. Done. I’d be done.

Okay, okay. Back to the story, because its a really good one. I just want to lick Finn’s freaking face. I’ll calm down. So Finn is part of an Irish gang called the Five Points. It is lead by his pseudo father who is an absolute nutcase. Like a nutcase with a heart of gold. Finn isn’t the kneecapping kinda Irish gangster though, more like behind the scenes business kinda gangster. So he is super loaded. Not only Irish. Not only a bad boy. Not only sexy as all hell. Rich. Dear lord save us all. Aoife was raised to fear the Five Points. They rule the city. They are scary as hell but keep shit in line. She never thought she’d end up with a Points man. Until Finn that is. I mean did you read all that. Danger smanger. I want me some Finn in my life. The danger just makes him all the more sexy I swear ❤

If I haven’t sold you yet I don’t know what is wrong with you. Who doesn’t love a bad boy?!?!?! I mean, sure, you don’t marry them. That would never turn out well. BUT these are the guys you have the high school, college, early twenties flings with. They are dark, dirty, and fuuuucking hot as hell. I mean even your good boys are a bit bad. So are you ready for some Finn in your life?!

Are you swooning with me? ❤

Five Fathers is sinfully delicious

I have found a deliciously sinful dark romance that isn’t paranormal, and I loved it. Most dark romances deal with angels, demons, etc. but this book is more contemporary. 5 Fathers by Kate Morgan is super sexy with one of the sexiest covers I have seen. You have to read this, if you are not into real dark romance with some BDSM then you may wanna click away. Are you still here? Okay, let’s get into it.

Find it here on Amazon!

Natalia was doing her usual. Partying, getting drunk, getting high, and having sex with her father’s enemy. Typical bad girl shit. Everything was going wonderfully until her father dropped in and shot him in the head. While he was still inside her… Yeah. Pretty fucked up. Natalia just leaves seeking out help from what everyone else seems to turn to when their life turns to shit. Religion. She walks into the church soaking wet from the rain in her too short dress with blood dotting her entire body. She’s decided to escape her life and become a nun. From one extreme to the next I suppose. What she doesn’t expect is to find the sexiest priest to step on this Earth. Everything about him is sexy as fuck and Natalia is already thinking sinful thoughts, not a great start for her life as a nun…

Natalia is clearly in need of help so being the helpful priest he is Hawke invites her back to help her get dry and warm. Natalia is introduced to the five other priests at this church Colt, Mace, Arsen, and Weston who are also unbelievably sexy. What the fuck kind of church is this? How did all these sexy assed priests end up in the same place? How are they all supposed to be celibate?! As Natalia spends a small amount of time with these men it becomes very clear that they aren’t what they say they are. It’s clear from their tattoos, piercings, foul mouths, and dyed hair that they are not men of the cloth. But if they aren’t what they say they are, who are they? What does this mean for Natalia, has she landed herself in more trouble than she was in with her father?

I really enjoyed this book and wish that I could keep reading more about Natalia and these guy’s lives. Sadly, there is just this book at this time and I haven’t seen anything about a second although it ends with the promise of more story to come! These guys are super hot and there are some very very very steamy scenes. Like completely dark and sexy scenes. With some punishments and some sex toys. I’ve never been one to really read BDSM books with a lot of violent sex play but this book was pretty hot. I didn’t feel swoony in love with the guys, more like omg this is a book full of assholes. I love assholes. Gahhh! If you are looking for something a little different than your typical romance then I would suggest this. It has some good twists and turns and an interesting end to the story. You may not swoon but trust me, it’ll get you hot 😉

Finding my sexy Hell Hounds in Restless Spirit

There is something about dark romance books that is just so… Swoon. Gahhhh I haven’t read a huge amount but I feel like I’m about to dive into more. My recent experience in the realm of dark romance is of course reverse harem. Restless Spirit by Briana Michaels is the first book in the Hell Hounds Harem series and I am fucking obsessed. I just finished the books and after reading the last line I said “ohhhhh fuuuuck” then furiously started downloading book two. Let’s. Get. Into. It.
Restless Spirit.jpg
Everly is a ghost trapped in the human world where no one can see or hear her. She spends all her time moving from town to town searching for who knows what and overall living a sad and lonely existence. The only company she has is the malanum. These terrifying creatures are dead, but not the same kinda dead Everly is, these are spirits that turned dark and they really want to do the same to her. She spends all her time constantly on the lookout for these dark spirits. In constant fear that they will catch her and turn her into one of them. She also has the fear that the longer she spends as a ghost that she will turn into a malanum organically.

She was killed 5 years ago in New Orleans and of course it was Halloween. The sucky thing about being a ghost is that what you die in is what you are stuck in. Sadly, Everly died on Halloween so she is stuck in her Voodoo Priestess costume which was cool and first but she is seriously getting tired of the skeleton makeup, corset, tophat, and cane that she is stuck carrying around. Sure she looks like a badass but what’s the point if she can’t be seen. This night though is Halloween so she might as well live it up in her costume and head out to dance at one of the bars in town. Not a whole lot else to do if you are a ghost, right?

Dancing at the Black Abbey club is going as every other night has gone in her lonely ghost existence, she is dancing like no one is watching because no one really is watching. Until someone might be. Much to her suprise and disbelief there is a very attractive man and he seems to see her. She knows he has to see her when he waves her over. Maybe Everly’s lonely existence isn’t going to be so lonely anymore? Especially since Jack can touch her. Going 5 years as a ghost without being touched, then all of a sudden this hot assed guy can not only see but touch her? Well let’s just say that A LOT of touching commences… A lot.

Jack and Everly run into some issues with the malanum which inconveniently interrupts round 2 of their sexy time. Ugh. Jack explains that he is a Hell Hound and his job is to force the malanum back into Hell. Obviously this is a very tempting job to Everly as it means she won’t be alone anymore and she can kill some of the horrid creatures that have been chasing her for five long years. A trip to Hell and help from the devil and she is a Hell Hound. Plus she is finally whole which means no more Halloween costume. Shit is finally going well. Jack is head over heels for her and he is taking her to meet his pack. The reception she receives isn’t exactly what she was expecting. Jack’s pack’s farmhouse feels a lot like home and all the guys seem to already know her, including Jack. She is greeted by a sexy swoonworthy kiss from one of the guys, Tanner. Kalen, Eli, and Tanner are calling her Sara and seem to know everything about her, except what happened to her five years ago. What the fuck is happening? Is this all a trick? Should she trust these people that work for the devil? Is she truly this Sara person?

I love love loved this book. I did not want to stop reading it and this last week at work was a struggle because I stayed up ways to late reading and therefore need a lot of coffee to get through the work day. When I started the book I was a little leery because it seemed A LOT like the books by Kristy Cunning, the first being Four Psychos (see my review here). We have a ghost who doesn’t know her name, finds out she has a pseudo relationship with the devil, finds men that she has had a past life with that she doesn’t remember, and the guys have reapersish jobs. There are a lot of similarities at the beginning but once the book starts going the similarities disappear. These books really are nothing alike in terms of story development, character personalities, etc. The guys are HOT HOT HOT. Like I love dark guys with dark souls. There is just something soooo freaking sexy about bad boys and these boys are all bad. Sexy bad.

Sara (aka Everly) is such a badass. I love her a lot. She doesn’t just fall head over heels for these guys because she is finally seen. Sure she feels the attraction but she is very skeptical of them and their stories at first. But as the story progresses and she begins to remember her old like and slowly fall in love and trust these guys again. Whew. It is swoony. Plus the guys are all so dark, sexy, and amazing. I love it. I, of course, am immediately obsessed with Kalen who appears to be the aloof asshole but turns out to be her amazing, protective wolf. Really I love them all. I’m terrified for the story to end because I don’t want to lose these characters and this is only the first book… Oh lord. Well come on, I have to have sold you on this by now. Swoon with me! ❤
